Graph/chart/map and citation

This line graph shows the rise in popularity of soccer over time. This relates to my topic because it shows that soccer is becoming more popular. As of right now it is the most popular sport in the world according to this graph.

Quote, paraphrase and citation #3

"The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence."

This quote is a very motivational quote. This quote is saying that you always need to try and better yourself  no matter how good you already are. There is always room for improvement. This is true especially in soccer. If you are good you can always get better by pushing yourself  past what you know you can do and practicing even harder than before.

This photo is a great example of determination. This is because it shows one person dragging the whole opposing team across the field. This relates to my topic because determination is key in soccer
you can never give up. You always have to keep pushing no matter what.

Quote, paraphrase, and citation #2

"In football as in watchmaking, talent and elegance mean nothing without rigor and precision."

This quote by Messi is a very good one. It means that you need more than talent to be good at soccer. you need that certain precision that is needed in soccer. I like this quote because people think that talent makes a good player but in fact its hard work that makes the best players.

This photo shows teamwork between all the members of a soccer team. This shows that it takes more than one person to win. This relates to my topic because it is very true that team work is necessary in a sport. Not one person can do it all. It takes the effort of the whole team to win.

Wordle #1 based on one useful site

Quote, paraphrase, and citation #1

"I'm living a dream I never want to wake up from."

This means that his job isn't really a job because he enjoys what he does. He's living a life that seems almost to good to be true. This makes me want to pursue a soccer career even more because of this quote. This is because this career isn't a job because you enjoy what you are doing and how you are doing it.

What I want to know about my topic

The main question I want answered is "What can I do to improve my over all performance in soccer". With this question come several more little questions that need to be answered. What exercises help boost my speed. How can I improve my kicking accuracy. How can I improve my dribbling. How can I improve my reflexes. All these questions would need to be answered in order for me to step my game up.

What I already know about my topic

Being Hispanic there are already many things I know about soccer. I know that it is a very demanding sport since you're constantly running and sprinting. It takes hard work and training to become good at this. Obviously you can't touch the ball with your hands unless your the goal keeper. That is one of the very few rules of soccer. Most of what I know is from experience since I play every Sunday. However some of my uncles did teach me techniques and skills necessary to playing this amazing sport. Once it is mastered you can make the ball do whatever you want and make it go where ever you want.

The story behind my topic choice

"How can you improve your soccer game?" This is a question I have been asking myself for a long time. I know that there are many answers to this question. Every day training would be necessary. Dribbling practice, running, and shooting. Foot work is a big part of this game. Dieting is also pretty important like in any other sport. Soccer has always been interesting to me. Seeing all the famous players like Messi or Ronaldo doing amazing tricks that seem impossible is a fascinating sight.
